Scientists to Participate in The National Climate March on Sunday, 12 November, Amsterdam.
On behalf of the Radboud Centre for Sustainability Challenges, we share the following call to participate at the national March for Climate From Scientists4Future and Scientist Rebellion Nijmegen
Dear All,
Scientists for Future and Scientist Rebellion are organizing a “Science
Block” during the National Climate March on Sunday 12 November in Amsterdam.
As scientists, we have been ringing the alarm bell about the climate
crisis for decades. But governments did not take our warnings seriously,
and year after year, emissions continued to rise.
“Any further delay in concerted action”, as the latest IPCC report notes, “will miss a brief and rapidly closing window of opportunity to secure a livable and
sustainable future for all.”
Are you a scientist and do you share our concerns? Join the “Science Block” at de Klimaatmars together with Scientist Rebellion and Scientists4future, and demand emergency action.
We have no time to lose.
Scientists are going to wear lab coats to make us more visible and to show that the demand for just climate action is scientifically sound. If you need a lab coat, you can indicate this in the signal group. We have many to lend!
We hope that many of you will join! From experience, meeting fellow scientists in action like this gives a lot of energy and support to keep going!
