We are excited to announce our upcoming interactive lunch lecture taking a critical look at international climate and biodiversity organisations.
When: Wednesday 4 March, 12.30-13.30
Where: EOS N01.110
This event will explore how scientific knowledge interacts with international policymaking and whether it is ultimately serving society. We will focus on key global science-policy bodies (the IPCC, IPBES, and COP/UNFCCC) as examples, taking a critical look at how evidence is produced, negotiated, framed, and implemented.
Three researchers from the RCSC community who are active participants and attendees at the UNFCCC COP, the IPBES and the NEXUS assessment will share their expertise, experience and insights. Snacks and refreshments will be available and it will be possible to join online.
Speakers: Patrick Huntjens (Professor of Governance and Sustainability Transitions, Maastricht University), Cristina Y.A. Inoue (Environmental Policy and Governance, Faculty of Management), Joseline Houwman (Ecology, Faculty of Science)
Please contact us if you are external to the RCSC network and would like to participate online.
We hope to see many of you there!
