Environmental (In)Justice Documentary-Debate Series "Yintah", Wednesday 18 June, Carolus
Movie screening and dialogue in the company of one of the movie's directors

On June 18, as part of our Environmental (in)Justice documentary-debates series, we will be screening "Yintah"; a moving and action-packed portrayal of indigenous resistance to ongoing extractivism and colonialism. When multi-national corporations planned the expansion of multiple new gas pipelines through unceded indigenous territory in the North-East of what is known as British Columbia, Canada, this threatened the pristine nature and waterways used as traditional living and hunting grounds by the Wet'suwet'en first nation, in additional to their constitutional and universal human rights. The documentary films across years of struggle and on the literal and metaphorical front-lines of indigenous resistance to fossil fuel extraction. Read more about the movie on the official website here.
We will also be joined virtually by one of the directors of the film, Jennifer Wickham, to answer a live Q&A after the screening.
